Immigration Issues/H1 Transfer Question

Question
My OPT started from January 2006. I started working for company X from February 2006. My H1 with company X was approved on Oct 30, 2006. I have an offer from company Y.

When can I join company Y? All of my paystubs are OPT paystubs. Do I need to have H1 paystubs? If so how many? Thank you in advance.

Monty

Answer
Hi Monty,

Be ready to submit paystubs spanning a period of at least two months from Company X. These paystubs should cover the two month span immediately preceding the filing of the H-1B petition through Company Y.
