Question
Hi,
I got married in court and don't have the marriage pics showing important hindu rituals like mangalsutra, sindur etc. I have the complete engagement pictures however.
My wife will be taking appointment for interview soon. Will this be an issue?
I have the marriage certificate from court to prove the marriage.

Please help

Answer
Hi,

It will not be a problem. Your wife will take the engagement pictures along with the original marriage certificate. If there is still any doubt about whether this marriage is a bonafide marriage, the Consulate may ask your wife questions about your family (whether you have brothers or sisters, for example) and about your profession in the U.S., about whether your wife has met your parents (and where and when she met them, for example).
