Immigration Issues/Two Passports

Question
I am living in the US and I have Green Card.
I have both Canadian and Iranian passports.
I am planning to travel to Iran next month and I have to use my Iranian passport to get into Iran.
Does it matter which passport I use when I exit or enter the US ?
In my Green Card application I had "CANADIAN" as my citizenship but "COUNTRY OF BIRTH" was  Iran.

Thank you

Answer
Before you leave, you must get a re-entry permit from CIS.
As long as you have a VALID permanent residency card from the US along with the Re-Entry permit, you may re-enter the US.  If you are a citizen of Canada, then that is the passport you should be using.  Where you were born is of no matter, it is where you are a citizen.
