Question
Hello,

I have a friend who has B-2 visa valid foe one year. At the port of entry, he was allowed to stay only 6 months. After his 6-month stay, he will return to his country for one month then he will try to come back to the USA. Will he be allowed back to the USA when the visa is still valid? Will he be forced to apply for another B-2 visa?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Answer
The one year visa allows him to try and make an entry until the visa expires. Once it expires, he can nopt try to make an entry without getting another visa stamp.

Depending ont he mood of the officer, they may or may not allow him in or may allow him less time here than 6 months.

Regards,

Robert
