Immigration Issues/work w/o permit

Question
Mr. Hollander:
I will be sending my adjustment of status paperwork in the next few days. But on my application for work permit I denied to be working right now, which I've been doing it for the last 5 years. I have a valid SS# (NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT). Should I tell the truth in my application papers? What are the implications of it?
Thank you very much for your answer

Sincerely
Jorge

Answer
I assume you are being sponsore dby a USC spouse. You should always tell the truth. If you are married to a USC they do not care that you wirked illegally as you are now getting status and they prefer more money coming into the family.

Robert
