About Markus Johnson
Expertise
I can answer questions on how to improve writing in the forms of fiction or poetry.

Experience
I am a teenager with a suprising knack for the English language and creative writing. Every year, since the 4th grade, I have attempted to write a book, which was always seen by those who read it to be enjoyable and creative. I have discovered I also am talented at writing poetry, and my English teachers have all said that they enjoyed my writing.

Education/Credentials
I have been in AAP english classes for all of my school years, and, recently, I took the PSAT and recieved a score of 63 in both Writing Skills and Verbal, which would translate into, on the SAT, 630 points. This score was taken out of 80 possible points, meaning that I was only 17 away from a perfect score.

Question
What would you suggest to write about when it comes to writing, maybe, somewhat fantasy stories or non-fiction documents? That's what I'm into, so what would you suggest to make my writing creative in those topics? thanks.

Answer
Questioner,

Every writer has their own way to write things. What you have to do is find out what your way is. You have to decide what you want the fantasy story to be about. It all, really, resides on your personal tastes.
Of course, no matter what, you have to find out how to get your "voice" into the writing, how to make it seem more like you telling the story instead of just words on the page. Writing has a rhythm to it... find your rhythm. The rhythm changes, of course. You'll notice that when you read a book you have a certain speed you're reading at. At the exciting parts, you will usually read faster. The unexciting ones? You read slower (of course it may be completely opposite for you).
You also have to think of original ideas for your story. You could go with the typical, now normal and standard stories which were sparked off by books like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, but that is not very creative. You need to think of how to make a story that will be as original as Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. That is what creativity is.
And, above all, improvise at times. Just sit down with the pen and paper and write what comes to mind, however the story should be. Remember to reread what you write at times to make sure it makes sense though, and get a trusted friend who you know will give you their real opinion to proofread it for you and rate it.

As for nonfiction, you need to choose a topic, research it until you know you have enough, take notes on your research, and then write without bias. (Unless it is an autobiography) Remember to cite your sources in the Bibliography.

Hope this helps,
Markus
