Question Hi,
If there was to be a war between Pakistan and India, who do you think would win?. And also if there would be a conflict between the two nations could it bring in other nations in as well and start a global conflict?
Answer Hello Alvin,
IMO, the possibility of a full-scale war between India and Pakistan is really remote. The economic compulsions and ties with major powers such as the U.S. and the EU countries will definitely ensure a major conflict doesn't occur. Ocassional skirmishes can take place which may last for a while too (like the Kargil conflict) but I don't think these kind of stuff will escalate into an all-out war.
If ever a war were to break out, I don't really know what the outcome would be. Being Indian, I'd want India to emerge the winner! However, looking at the recent worldwide conflicts barring the Gulf war, I'd think the most likely outcome would be a stalemate. I don't think other nations will get involved. It should be noted these are just my opinions.
