The name of your father 'Soondramoorthi Poolay Vydelingum' suggest that he could have been from Southern Indian States of either Tamil Nadu or Kerala.
And if I take into consideration that at some point of time his name 'Poolay' was mis-spelled from 'Pillay' which is a very common surname in the state of Kerala (Malayalam speaking community), then I think your forefathers migrated to mauritius from Kerala.
