Subject: Indians view of Americans

Question
Hello,
I am doing research to find out what are India's peoples view of Americans? Do they have a stereotype of the average American> where do you think this stereotype comes from?
Thank-you very much for a speedy response.
~Shirley

Answer
Hi Shirley,

Sorry for this delay in replying. Indians do have some stereotypes like the fact that Americans are very ambitious and money minded. An average Indian may also carry the idea that marriage and family ties in America are very different from those of Indians. Most Indians also believe that America is a land of opportunities.

Regards,

Vani
