Question
Please explain 2 - 3 customs that are the  most different between Indian culture and the USA.

nirav

Answer
Dear Nirav,

Following are 3 customs which are different between the cultures of India and USA:

1.  In India, strangers strike a conversation and within minutes start talking about details like salary, job, etc.  In USA, sharing of details about job is done only after a long relationship.

2.  In India, the motherhood of a female is giving more importance whereas in USA, it is always the womanhood of a female which is more important.

3.  In India, elders can restrict the lives of the youngers of their family for the benefit of the young whereas in USA, such actions are considered resticting their right to freedom.

With best wishes,
Swami Narasimhananda
