Question
My wife will be inheriting around 1 million dollars later this year. Do I have any legal right to any of the money if she desires to divorce me under Indiana law?

Answer
Yes or no.  If she puts the money in a joint account then you have a claim to it.  If she keeps it segregated in an account completely in her name then she has a statutory right to claim that the money is not part of the marital pot.  Tough question but it is one of fact.  JDH
