Johnnie Parsons won the race in 1950, I couldn't tell you who placed 5th. Why do you need to knwow who placed 5th, anyway?
A bet with an acquaintance. Joie Chitwood finished 5th, but was better known as the "Star" of the "Joie Chitwood Hell Drivers", a daredevil driving stunt show.
Well, I have STILL never known of, nor met an expert on ANY subject. You may give thought to changing the title of your endeavor.

Answer Notice my expertise is in the actual city of Indianapolis, Indiana; not the race. There is more here in Indy other than the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
If you want a racing expert, then go there, and criticize them if they can't answer your question. I think it's a bit unreasonable to ask someone who answers questions about the city of Indianapolis a question about a race, just to put them down when they can't give you specific details, when it's not their area of expertise in the first place.
Though I appreciate your suggestion, I will not be "changing my title". I understand your frustration, but perhaps you should better research your options of experts next time.
