Question i have a french boy friend,,, we are serious to continue ours, but seems no way out for us... he is a surgeon, abdomen speciality. looks like no place for him in indo... as well with me..i dont want to leave indonesia,,,i dont want to quit my job. do u have any suggestion?? tx
Answer As you may be aware People who are not Indonesian citizens cannot obtain a medical practitioner license to work in Indonesia.
There are several suggestions,
1. have your boyfriend contact the French Embassy. Many of the Embassies have a medical Advisor on staff.
2. Have your boyfriend contact the international SOS Clinic (and other clinics) they are often looking for expatriate Technical Advisors with a medical background.
3. Have your boyfriend contact NGO's there are several international Medical Agencies working in Indonesia.
