Question hello sir ;
I had taken a bahelor degree in some engineeirng major rather than industrial safety engineer or (ergonomics) , but for my interests in ergnomics
science , I need to know from you , to start in industrial safety engineer or ergnomics which is better ?
studying firstly ? or working in position in that field ?
note: I live in egypt there is no any courses or sort of studies which can let me study ergnomics rather than 4 years study , after researches I found some course but abroad (1.5 years)
from your opinion study abroad first then working in position in that field or searching for position immedialtly to practise my interests then decide to take other degree , speically I have the abiltiy to study anything with myself & develop it
whats the difference between industrial safety & health jobs & ergnomics jobs ?
is ergnomics & industrial safety & health can be applied in all factories & industries ?
when I ll try to apply for position in thats field , give me the positions names which carry industrial safety & ergonomics ? to ease my search
wish to hear from you
Answer Hi, first of all ergonomics is very specialized, but can be applied to many industries, industrial health and safety training will have some sort of ergonomics training within it.
To say which is best is hard to say, Health and safety covers a more wide range of industries and covers factories and manufacturing in all aspects of engineering, construction, aerospace and many others, so my advice would be pursue a degree in Health and safety and then train to do ergonomics as well so you will cover all aspects of working environments.
Yes Industrial H&S applies to all aspects of any sort of work centres and factories.
Ergonomics applies to just about every type of work related trades and industries, including offices, shops, etc.
I would study for H&S first, possibly being sponsored by an employer to keep costs down or you may have to fund it yourself, I am not sure what is available in Egypt.
