Question Are there any plant safety audit organizations or firms that certify food production facilities by published standards?

I think it is going to be kind of tough to find one that will "certify" unless they have a lot of money to loose. I do safety audits regularly to find trouble spots in a company, but nothing I do certifies a company. OSHA can come up with citations out of the blue. Their is simply to many regulations for companies to keep up with. I have a customer that is attempting to get VPP status however, even a piece of trash laying on the ground received a check mark. If you find a company that guarantees or certifies compliance, BUYER BEWARE.
If one could come up with such a program, one would make a lot of money.
