Subject: fire pumps

Question
why are fire pumps required and what type of buildings need them

Answer
Nicola,
Fire pumps are required for companies who do not have the required water system to fight the biggest fire possible at the facility.
That is the crude answer but it is true. Many companies do not have the volume or the pressure to fight a fire safely so it is augmented by fire pumps.
Does that help or did I confuse you?
Thanks
Mike
