Question
QUESTION: Dear Doc,

I started my period on the 13th of October and started drinking Fertomid 50mg on the 17th to the 21st of October. On the 24th i went to see the Gyn and he said that i had 3 folicels two of 22 and one of 18 and i had the ovidrel injection 1ml on the 25th. I did a blood test on the 8th of November and it showed a faint second line like they told me so i allso did a home test and it showed a faint second line aswell. On the 12th of November i did a nother home test and it showed exactly the same thing. What does all of this mean can i be pregnant? Tomorro the 14th ill be 7 days late with my period. What should i do?

Regards
Nosey

ANSWER: Hello Erika,

You cannot rely on a urine pregnancy test because it cannot detect a pregnancy at low levels.  I would recommend that you have a simple blood pregnancy test.  It will give you the answers that you need.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: hello

I did a simple blood pregnancy test and it showed a faint line aswell so they put it down as negative cause they dont want to take chances. Do you think i stand a good chance of being pregnant?

Answer
Hello Again,

I still recommend a blood pregnancy test.  It can detect even the lowest levels.

Sincerely,
