Question
In 2006, I was at a fertility clinic as i was trying to fall pregnant. The doctors said that i had endometriosis and therefore i went into theatre to have it clear. 2 weeks later, i found out that i was already 1 month pregnant, so i was pregnant during the operation. My question is, would i be able to fall pregnant again without having to undergo an operation or does the endometriosis come back. I have never experienced any pains or discomfort to say that i have endometriosis... They also put me on thyroid medication. Please help...Thanks

Answer
Hi Sharon,

Sometimes endometriosis comes back after treatment and sometimes it doesn't.  The only way to know would be through another surgery.  It's possible to have endometriosis and have no symptoms of pain or discomfort, too.

I hope this helps answer your query,
