Infertility/Fertility - Fertility

Question
my husband and i are trying to conceive and we are stationed in germany with the us army. my fertility specialist has me on prenatal vitamins, 10 mg of claritan, CA/VIT D (CALTRATE EQ) 600mg, Progestrone 100mg, and ClomHEXAL 50mg.

i take everything once a day other than the ClomHexal and i take that, one in morning one at night!

What the chances of multiples? Are all These ok to be taking? He also suggested to take green tea and i ordered red respberry leaf tea that is supposed to increase fertilty.

My husband and i would love twins. In fact we really want them bad. I start the clomHexal this month on the 5 day of bleeding. and i take the progestrone 14 days after the first day of my bleeding and until i start again.my husband is supposed to deploy by the end of the year. What are my chances of getting pregnant before he leaves?
Is there anything else i should or can be doing to help this? please help me. Thank You

Answer
Hello,

Only your doctor can tell if the medications are safe to be taken together, and I'm sure they are for you, otherwise they would not be prescribed.  It sounds as if they are safe medications.  Claritin is usually for allergies, so I"m not sure what that has to do with the fertility medications.  I'm assuming Clomhexal is a form of Clomiphene, or Clomid which has about a 5-10% chance of producing multiples. It's impossible to say how quickly you'll get pregnant, as there are so many factors that can influence fertility.  From my research, the success rate with Clomid treatment is around 25% to 30% each month. You should be monitored with ultrasound when taking this drug, to monitor your follicle development.  You can also time your efforts using a home ovulation predictor which will tell you when you're ready to ovulate.  Good luck.
