Infertility/Fertility/Semen test analysis

My husband got his semen analysed and the analysis states
Amount- 2 ml
time of liquification- 20 min
ph- alkaline

leukocytes- 4-6/hpf
rbc- nil
epith cells- occassional

count- 24 million/ ml

motile- 25 %
sluggish- 10%
abnormal- 30% neckpiece deformities.

spermatogenic cells- 1-2/hpf

The doctor prescribed 200 mg cefpodoxime( proxetil) twice a day for 5 days to treat some infection.

is the semen problematic. can this act positively. will it need treatment. please advise on what should now be done

The doctor interpreted the report as showing an infection in the semen, something that's not uncommon.  Once the antibiotic treatment if finished, the semen analysis should be repeated to assure the infection is cleared.

Good luck!
