Question
I have been trying to conceive since february 2013, I usually have a regular cycle of 28 days but last months the cycle extended to 31 days, with negative pregnacy test, my periods lasted for 6 days and from the 11th day of my cycle I started noticing bright red blood along some watery mucus (not eggwhite) now, its the 14th day of cycle and the bleeding doesn't seem to go away, its really slight bleeding not enough to come out on itself and stain a liner, i have been testing my ovulation but its still negative, pregnancy test was also came out negative as expected,There was another strange thing in this cycle that my breasts started getting tender during menstruation and till the 12th day of my cycle they were slight painful , now I feel they are less tender, I never get tender breast after or during periods. Please can you indicate what it could be? There is no pain but a slight discomfort lower abdomin but may be its my digestive system. any advice would be appreciated, cheers

Answer
Hello Mariam from the U.K.,

I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly what is going on.  It sounds like there might be an ovarian or hormonal dysfunction, but uterine factors could be causing this as well.  You need to undergo a good gynecologic evaluation to determine the cause.  It is also possible that this is a one time thing and will resolve on its own.  A visit to your gynecologist might be a good idea.

Good Luck,
