Question
I am currently on month 2 of Clomid.  Today is Day 15 of my cycle.  I have been testing everyday for LH surge and also taking my waking temperature every morning.  I saw only an extremely faint line show up yesterday on the ovulation test and felt a little tingle from my ovary.  My waking temperature showed no rise this AM.  This is very different from last cycle where I ovulated on Day 11 (which is normal for me), and I had a bright LH surge line, my ovary was on fire (not a tingle) and my waking temperature rose the next morning.  Progesterone tests confirmed that I ovulated in month 1.  Not sure I am going to find that I ovulated this month (I know that LH surge does not guarantee ovulation).  I am trying to find out if an HCG injection would be helpful for me. I have very limited info on what it does to help in combo with clomid. Also, is it too late to get it this cycle?

Answer
The hCG injection triggers ovulation.  Clomid aids in the development of the eggs and then the hCG triggers release.  They are a very strong combination for those needing aid in both areas.

I would say that it is definitely too late for this cycle.  I would look ahead to the next one and talk to your physician about this.

Best wishes,
~Rebecca
