Infertility/Fertility/Early ovulation

Question
Dear Dr. Roseff,

I am 35 yrs. and TTC for 11 months. I started tracking my BBT 3 months ago. On average, I seem to ovulate on day 8 and have 14 day luteal phase. Is a day 8 ovulation too early to acheive pregnancy? I also took Clomid for three months, with no success. I stopped taking it and switched doctors. The doctor I was seeing put me on the drug, and never saw me again. According to his nurse, it was unnecessary.

For the past two months, I've been going to acupunture and taking Chinese herbs in hopes of avoiding high tech intervention.

In your opinion, should I see an RE now or wait until this cycle ends to know if I'm pregnant?

Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi Gina,

You should see an RE now.  Sometimes, ovulation on cycle day 8 indicates diminished ovarian reserve (an "egg problem"), and you should be tested for this ASAP.

If you can't find a superb RE near you, you're welcome to come here for highly advanced, individualized/personalized care.
