Followup To
Question -
Dear doctor Scott,
I"m 39 yrs old and since november03 I'm getting my periods every 2months and the bleeding continues for 10-15 days.my ultrasond are clear showing no cysts, so PCO has been ruled out. I tested my FSH level on day 3 and it came back 8.18 mIU/ml. I would like to know that is this result reliable in view that my periods aren't regular? i'm suffering from primary infertility.
should I get this FSH test done again.
Thank you.
Answer -
Hi Reem,

An FSH level without an estradiol level on day 3 is not meaningful - What was your E2 level?

It's NOT normal to bleed the way you're saying you bleed, so regardless of your FSH level and E2 level you need HELP.  If you're not seeing a qualified infertility specialist, consider doing so!

Hope this helps,

Answer
Hi Reem,

I've never heard of anyone measuring endocervical glands on an ultrasound.  It sounds like you may want to consider a second opinion!
