About Brigid Kowalczyk Expertise Fertility is a gift from God and infertility is a hard cross to bear. I will answer questions about the morality of the various infertility treatments. Just as contraception separates the procreative from the unitive aspects of sexual intercourse, some of the ways to concieve are immoral and thus dangerous to your spiritual and emotional well-being.
Experience Well-read and connected to various groups that recommend moral approaches to infertility treatments. I can sympathize with the pain of childlessness but also view the bigger picture. An objective discussion of your options is something to have when you are immersed in your loss.

Question I have a problem. My LMP was 7-17-06, I took clomid 50mg days 3-7, and I have been charting my BBT daily. From cd1-cd6, my temps stayed around 96.7/96.8. Then on cd7 it dropped to 96.45. Next day it was back up to 96.8, and next day 97.05. Then it shot up to 97.44 on
cd10, and on cd11 it was 97.52. I assumed (wrongly, I'm starting to believe) that I had ovulated around cd8. I then started applying Progesterone cream to help build up my endometrium, since it was still so early in my cycle. However yesterday, on cd 12, my temp dropped to 97.14 and this morning it was at 96.87. Now I am worried, because not only have my temps dropped so low, but all day yesterday I noticed an abundance of creamy cervical fluid, which I had not noticed before. I am concerned that I either will not ovulate now because I started the progesterone, or that if I just stop using it now after using it for three days, I will cause a problem. I am so upset I jumped the gun like that. Please let me know what I should do.
Answer I don't think 3 days of the cream will have an adverse effect. I would follow your doctor's advice about what to do and avoid speculation especially when the pattern in your cycles isn't following the expected route.
Ovulation occurs around day 14 plus so an ovulation at day 7 or 8 would be possible, and a temperture spike around that time would be more than likely related to your health. Temperature fluctuates as an indication of what is going on in the body.
