About Wendy Zwickl Expertise I can answer questions pertaining to infertility including how to administer the injections for IVF, common side effects one may experience, and what to expect during egg retrival. I can answer some questions on IUI and Clomid cycles. I have had unexplained infertility for 6 years and I have been through numerous Clomid cycles with and without IUI. I have been through a fresh IVF and a frozen ET. I have been through a full range of infertility testing at least once, and in many cases, numerous times. I have had to travel to do all this, and I have some helpful information for couples on how to accomplish treatment goals outside of your local area.
Experience I have dealt with almost all aspects of infertility for 6 years.
I have had IVF, FET, IUI, and Clomid cycles. I have been pregnant
once and have had one miscarrieage. I have had almost all
of the standard infertility workup tests, as has my husband.
I have done several injectible cycles, with both European and American
medications and supplies. When problems arose during treatment, I have
performed exhaustive searches on the web only to come up empty-handed.
I eventually found what I needed and felt I should pass along
whatever I could.
I have a question that you may consider silly, but I really need to know the answer. I am a married woman (since a year now) and since we did not want a child, we used condoms during sex. Now however we plan to have a child and so have begun to have sex without a condom.
My question is that when my husband ejaculates, there is a certain quantity of his cum in my vagina. Is that normal, or is all of the cum suppossed to go right in? There is a substantial amout of wetness. My fear is if that will hinder my chances of getting pregnant.
However silly you may consider my question, please do reply.
Thanks.
Ayesha
Answer Ayesha,
It is not silly at all! You will find that quite a bit of it stays in the vagina. It will come out when you go to the bathroom after intercourse. Don't worry, quite a bit also gets up into the cervix and enters the uterus! You may try propping your bottom up on a pillow and relaxing for about 20 minutes after intercourse, but from what I understand, this is not strictly neccesary for conception. I know that it seems like a lot comes out, but trust me, enough gets in there! Good luck!
