About Brigid Kowalczyk
Expertise
Fertility is a gift from God and infertility is a hard cross to bear. I will answer questions about the morality of the various infertility treatments. Just as contraception separates the procreative from the unitive aspects of sexual intercourse, some of the ways to concieve are immoral and thus dangerous to your spiritual and emotional well-being.

Experience
Well-read and connected to various groups that recommend moral approaches to infertility treatments. I can sympathize with the pain of childlessness but also view the bigger picture. An objective discussion of your options is something to have when you are immersed in your loss.

Question
hey Brigid!
I'm a highschool student from Israel and i'm doing a research about the posible ways to concieve, kinds of birth and their advantages and disadvantages.
I woul'd be really happy if u coul'd send me some material about this subject or tell me about certain web sites who tallk about this subject.
With expectation,Neta.

Answer
Conception takes place when the sperm and the egg unite.  Birth is either through the vaginal canal or by ceasarean section.  Natural vaginal birth is superior because it is the way nature intended births to occur but sometimes surgical means of delivering the baby are necessary.  The only website that I recommend for questions about conception and birth is www.ccli.org

I hope I answered your question.  I don't know what else you might be thinking about.  Obviously, there are interventions that some scientists are using to assist conception but most of them are very very expensive and not very effective.

The risk to them is that parents become so focused on the accomplishment of a task they are forgetting that this task is a human person, a baby and some of the means to this end are immoral.  They are immoral because they separate the human act of intercourse from the conception of life, something that has never been done before now.  Sex makes babies.  Not test tubes and pietri dishes.
