AboutPhilip Lafeber Expertise I have been specialising in knowledge analysis and modelling. I have an interest in the way models of programs, architectures, business processes and the like are properly made and analysed. What`s meant by `properly` depends on the goal you`re trying to achieve. The analysis of this goal and the way it can best be realised is something you might want to ask me about.

Question I have tested both methods of MS Words Mail Merge and the simpler way to merge the data is absolutely via MS Outlook.
But I have 3000 contacts to enter.
1) Is it possible to enter that volume into Outlook?
I know you'll probably say, the best way is MS Access, but I am not well versed in MS Access.
So out of the two Outlook vs. Excel, bearing in mind Outlook is way easier, can Outlook handle 3000 entries?
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Christine
Answer Hello Christine,
If I understand your question correctly, the only difficulty that we need to overcome is entering 300 contacts into Outlook.
Then I would suggest the following; you can import contacts into Outlook. If you have a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file, then you can tell Outlook to import that file into the contacts folder. You might have to indicate which value goes where, but when you have done that, all 300 contacts will be imported in milliseconds.
Depending on your version of Outlook, you go to "File", then "Import and Export", then "Import from another program or file", then "Comma Separated Values (Windows)".
