About Philip Lafeber
Expertise
I have been specialising in knowledge analysis and modelling. I have an interest in the way models of programs, architectures, business processes and the like are properly made and analysed. What`s meant by `properly` depends on the goal you`re trying to achieve. The analysis of this goal and the way it can best be realised is something you might want to ask me about.

Question
Hi, it's the first time that i use this website to ask a question, i hope that it'll be fine..
I'm a french student in Information Systems. I'm working on the implement of a Balanced Scorecard in a company during an internship.

I'm looking for answers to understand the differences between some products that help to set up indicators based on the BSC.

So, Can you help me to determine what differenciate actually Microsoft Scorecard Manager 2005, PerformancePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft SharePoint 2007. All theses products seems to have the ability to create KPI and indicators, but i can't find any information about them differences..

Thanks for your Aelp,

Faithfully,
Loïc

Answer
Hello Loïc,
It's a nice question. I like the area of business improvement. I haven't worked with any of these tools you mention, so I cannot speak from experience.
In fact, this is something that your employer should invest in. There are many research companies like Gartner and IDC. Please ask them for a report (if they already investigated this) or for an investigation.

Regards,
Philip.
