Question dear Mr.Zuate i have installed ca scm with ingres on my windows 2003 sp2 storage server since the begining of the year, ever since almost every 2 weeks ingres notifies me that it's partially started and i had to restart my server in order for ingres to work, 2days ago ingres was completely down and CA support suggested to replace it with sql. what do u think i should do knowing that i only have 40 users ?

No comment about the CA support response (for Ingres replacement). When you said "replace it with sql" you mean MS SQL I guess ?
What can be interesting is to know why you Ingres installation partially shut. Can you send me by email a zipped version of your errlog.log file (check in %II_SYSTEM%\ingres\files) ? My corporate email is jean-pierre.zuate@lafageconseil.fr
The users you have probably doesn't matter because tools like CA USM deal with their own database connection. The tool maintain perhaps 5 or 10 or more or less connections to the DB and then many users (40 for you) are connected to the tool. Not directly to Ingres (usualy).
