Question Hello,
We recently moved house and the movers were ok, though a few things were broken (one of which a wardrobe whilst they were having a bad moment/argument amongst themselves).
We have been advised we will receive a refund less wear and tear and less a £50 excess. No where in the contract does it reference that claims are subject to a £50 excess.
Can you please advise though whether we can appeal the £50 excess fee? It would seem if not in the contract. the movers should pay any such fee rather than us.
Many thanks for your assistance.
Answer Hi Kathy-
It sounds like you are from the UK, so if their contract doesn't reference the excess amount, you may have to take them to court. I'm not from the UK, so I can't advise what other options you have. Sorry I can't be of more assistance. :) Denise
