Question
Are Taxi's in NJ required to carry either PIP or MedPay coverage?

Answer
Hi Gee, the last time I had any dealings with N.J. no-fault laws ALL vehicles were required to carry it.  The coverage would lie with the passenger's home insurance policy but if they did not have an insured vehicle in their household then they would have to be covered through the taxi's no-fault coverage. The driver would be covered under worker's compensation unless he was self-insured.
