Examples :

1. Company A has been acquired by Company B.
2. Company A has been merged with Company B.

From the Employees perspective who are working in Company A, which among the two i.e. Acquisition OR Merger could be more risk prone from Job security point of view ?.

In all realty, whether a merger or acquisition doesn't automatically dictate who may be at more risk from a job security point of view.

The question is to broad. There are many factors whether it be a merger or acquisition involved in whether or not the employees will or will not have job security.

It may depend on why the merger or acquisition took place. It depends on the health of Company A and it depends on the intention of Company B. (The reason Company B took the action of the merger or acquisition.)
