Question Can a surge protector affect your broadband connection. My Internet speed is fluctuating constantly up and down. When downloading it goes from 30Kbps up to 200Kbps and down again. Sometimes web pages freeze, with the Internet light on the router staying steady for minutes at a time. The surge protector is next to the router and is plugged into an extension lead rather than into the wall socket. Thanks
Answer Hi Phil,
According to manuals and documents, surge protector has no effect on speed of any router.
However, it is suggested to keep them apart atleast by few meters.
