Subject: using You Tube

Question
Hi. When someone watches a video on You Tube, are they essentially 'downloading' it? Does it stay in the computer's system after it was viewed? Thanks

Answer
the video would be available in the browser cache. but not in a format in which it can be directly played.
Look at very large file sizes in a path which is similar to C:\Documents and Settings\usrname\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\abcd123h.default\Cache

You can save the file with .flv extension and later view it in vlc player.
