Question
hi scott, i just got an hp puter with vista and i need help with the task bar. on the task bar are 3 squars, one with a "1" on it for number lock, one with an "A" on it for caps lock, and one with a down arrow on it for scroll lock..also there is a long box for yahoo search..i dont want these on my task bar as they take up too much room and i dont use them..i went into start up items because they're there when i start up the puter but they dont seem to be there unless theyre under HP items which dont explain what each item is...can you pleaseeee help me remove them from my task bar?  thanks so much, joan

Answer
The Yahoo Address bar is easy. Right click on a blank area of the task bar and select Taskbars, then uncheck the Yahoo bar.

The lock indicators are a different issue. That's a fairly new feature and I'm not sure how to turn them off. But since its a new PC, just call 1-800 HPInvent and they will tell you what to do.

Hope this helps
