i would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out!
thank you! Colton
Answer Hi, thanks for your question. It's really difficult to say with any certainty, but it sounds as though it's your internet connection that may be the problem. I did find some pretty damning reviews about the Road Runner broadband service, but I can't speak for them as I've never used them.
There are several websites that will do a free speed test for you. Here is one:

Try this test just after you connect to the internet, and then again after your download has timed out, just to see if there is a difference.
Check your router, too, if you have one...it may be overheating. Make sure you don't have it near a heater, and that it's not lying flat. If you can stand it up somewhere, it could help. Try restarting it, or switching it off for a few minutes if it feels too warm.
If you don't have a router, you should perhaps invest in one...they are much faster!
You should also read the small print terms and conditions from your internet provider, as they sometimes offer high speeds, but 'cap' your downloads and cover themselves by what they call an 'acceptable use policy'. Basically that means that if they think you are downloading too much they will restrict it. Although I can't see how one movie could fall under this category!
Also, it could depend on how far you are from your nearest telephone exchange that is streaming your service. The further away you are, the slower your connection will be, no matter what RR's highest speed boast is.
Saying that, if your internet provider is offering 'unlimited' downloads and 'blazing fast' broadband, and you don't think you are getting it, you have a right to complain. You should be able to download a move in a few minutes with a really fast connection.
You could also try downloading large files using a download manager...I don't know if you can do this with iTunes purchases as I don't have it, but a download manager can pick up downloads where they left off.

I hope this has helped a little, because I know how frustrating this can be! :-)
