Internet for Beginners - Active X

Expert: Pat Dunlap - 10/8/2009

Question
How do I get rid of the box that keeps popping up that says"Do you want to allow software such as Active X controls and plug ins to run" and why does it keep doing it?

Thanks
Joan

Answer
Joan, next time you ask something like this please include your browser and version as well as the Windows OS and version.  Sounds like your security of the one of those is telling you something.  Read up on Active X for the good, bad and the ugly.  Just Google it.  Also, search on: remove active x.  BTW this falls under software and not Internet.  Have a nice day.  Pat
