Question Hi there
I have a Acer notebook, I use it on my boat, but the boat is about 100 meters away from the signal, I think I need a signal booster. Will that help and which one do I look at. We travel a lot so that is why we purchased the small notebook, It would be handy if we could get a signal- Thanks
Answer Do you own the router? If its a shared router for the marina, then you might consider asking them if they can put hi-gain antennas on the router (at your expense). Or maybe upgrade the router to an 802.11N if its an older version.
The other option is a repeater, but you have to have somewhere to put it.
