Experience I have been using some form of the internet since 1992. I'll try my best to answer the question or lead you somewhere that might be able to answer it.
Question I know I have had this problem before but can't remember the 'fix'. Using OE 5.0, Window 98 se, when I try to change the font size ( for one word or all) it won't let me. It is like I have it locked on "size 10", which is fine 98% of the time. Can you, 'using baby steps' walk me thru what ever I have to do to re-set it.? Any and all help will be GREATLY appreciated. Answer I have not used Outlook Express in a very long time but hopefully it has not changed too much.
On OE, go to Tools - Options. Select the Compose tab and this is hopefully where you can change it.
If not. close that out & go to About - Help. Under the Index tab, type in default which should take you to default fonts, changing. This will walk you thru it also
