Question
I created a special card for my 3yr old greatgranddaughter from my new program, Veo Digital Studio. Sent, as a file, which won't open for her. Is it the way her settings are on her PC, are am I doing something wrong? We're all green & appreciate any info. Thanks

Answer
I would suggest you read the instructions on Veo Digital Studio. I suspect it says that the recipient needs the same program to open the file.

To give you some background; different programs create files with different formats. There has to be a program that can read that format on the PC to open the file. The computer tells what type of file primarliy by the 3 character extension after the filename. So you may have named the file, granddaughter card, but the program attached an extension like .avi to it.

Some file types are standard and just about every machine can read them. For example photo files like JPG, GIF and BMP. For video standard types are AVI and MPG. So if your grandkids don't have the VEO program see if you can save the card as a AVI and then send that.
