Question
How can I lock my notebook computer so that kids cannot use it (and access the internet)? Thanks.

Answer
Depends on what version of Windows is on it. If you have XP Pro or Win 2K, you can set your screensaver to kick in after a short period of inactivity and require a password to get out of the screensaver. The password for those OSes is pretty secure.

Another possibility is a poweron password. To set one, you need to go into your CMOS setup and set a password there.

Also since its a laptop, you can always lock it in a cabinet.
