my personal opinion is Messenger Plus Live is generally regarded as a "safe" plugin, although NOTE that is not a guarantee.
As with any third party software plugin, use at your own risk.
If i were in your case id do a quick forum search for users of the plugin or even reviews from big name sites. usually the more popular ones are used by tons of people and genarlly regarded as safe to use.
