Question
Hi my name is scott and i have a vista computer :*( i many videos that i try to play and say they are missing different codecs like CoreAAC Audio (FF) and XVID MPEG-4 (xvid) i have downloaded these codecs off sites and then tried to play them again i did get my 1st movie to work i don't know how. I then published it into a dvd. I have also noticed that when i use VCL player (you may not be familiar with that one) it works then when i go to Windows Media Center it gives me a codec error. So my Question is i have downloaded these codacs why are they still not working.

HELP ME

Answer
Scott,
First, you need to uninstall all of the codecs you downloaded and restart your computer. Next, go to this site http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_full.htm  and download the K-Lite Codec Pack. After you install it, restart the computer. All of your videos should now play without any problems or codec-related errors.

Good luck with everything!
