Question
QUESTION: Hi, I have a secured/firewalled desktop with cable internet.
I am constantly finding porn on my computer that I did not download.  I am the only one with access to this computer.  Is it possible that someone is getting in through limewire or other file sharing sites and using my computer to download this junk?

I also have a laptop with wireless, that is not and will not be security enabled of firewalled, and the same thing keeps happening on this computer.  Is it someone else hacking into my system to use it to download these clips?

ANSWER: You will need to secure your wireless connection. Here are a couple of links which offer guidelines & tips on howto secure your wireless connection

http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2008/08/6-steps-to-secure-your-home-wireless-network...

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/support/wireless_secure.htm

Also keep your operating system (Windows) and updated with the latest patches. Dont forget to use frequently scan your system with a good anti-spyware+anti-virus.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I cant secure my wireless connection because something that I use in my house is hooked up through the wireless and needs an open connection with no firewalls enabled for it to run properly.  So I still dont have the answer to my question.  Are people able to use my ip address to do searches and downloads that are appearing in my history, and in other areas on both my desktop and laptop?  Where is this stuff coming from? Im worried someone may download something illegal and I may get into trouble for it...

Answer
What exactly do you mean when you say "cant secure my wireless connection because something that I use in my house is hooked up through the wireless and needs an open connection with no firewalls enabled"

Also, where are you "constantly finding porn" on your computer ? Is it in your email ?

Do you have a static IP or a dynamic IP ? Ask your ISP if you dont know.

If you follow the basic security practices like
(a) keep your operating system (Windows) and updated with the latest patches
(b) frequently scanning your system with a good anti-spyware+anti-virus

you should be able to avoid porn/spam/malware etc.
