Internet/Network Security - AIM Security Question

Expert: Sean-Philip Oriyano - 8/6/2007

Question
Some one has signed on to my aim account by figuring out my password,i wanted to change it but i forgot the answer to my security question...how do i change my password?

Answer
Hello Tashauna,

Interesting question, basically if you believe someone has signed on to your account and you don't know the answer to your security question you might have to call AOL themselves.  In a nutshell they are going to want to verify your identity to see if you are who you say you are before they do anything.  Just for the record I am not sure how successful you are going to be by calling them or contacting them whatsoever to change your password as these companies that give free products like email and instant messaging aren't willing to spend a lot of time helping customers do stuff like what you are asking.

Good luck
Sean
