Question QUESTION: I am not racist by any means, but I do have a question about black/white relationships. I am white and I am interested in a man who is black. Is there anything I need to know about interracial dating?

Well there alot of things. Im really only experienced with white men(im a black woman) but im sure there cant be much more of a difference. Well first with interracial relationships there will be some stares, rude comments, but you probably knew that already. Also theres family. I was actually in a pretty good family situation. First I m et my boyfriends parents. His father was great. He treated me like his daughter. But his mother was a bit cold towards our relationship. My parents loved him. They said they always knew it was going to end up this way, and that they were happy that I was happy. Some friends will have a problem, but if they are real friends they will be alright with him. One thing that is not as taboo is black man white woman relationships. It use to be when people said interracial relationship, they meant white woman black man. But know it doesnt just mean that anymore. Now it doesnt even relly mean just black and white. There alot of things but they arent coming to the top of my head right now. QUESTION: First off, I want to thank you for responding back to my question. He is 45 and I am 51. To me the age difference doesn't really matter, but should I be concerned with this issue?

It depends om the guy. Whether the relationship is interracial or not it depends on the persons preference. Some guys don't mind older women, but others dont really like the age difference.
