Question
Okay well im talking to this black boy and im white. I was raised in a racial household. I secretly date him. I dont know what to do. Because im afaid that if we start dating (out there) that if it dont work out with him that no white boy would want to date me. But what should i do about the whole situation???

Answer
Hi Lindsey
Well if you like him then go for it. I'm not sure who you are but if a black man can like you, then almost certainly a guy from one race will. People are not separated by race, but more by their personal preferences. I have seen plenty of black men who are into the skinny blonde, many white men who like the thick black girls, and hispanics who have this preference for asians. You cannot make generalizations so never feel like you have to settle for one person or another, but if you like this guy then go for it.

It's also hard to help you without more details... like why you wont think it will work. Fortunately race is not as big of an issue as it was years ago and many people will be very supportive of it regardless depending on where you live. So it's worth a chance to go for it. I mean really... what can you lose?

Melissa
