AboutNafeesah Expertise I can answer just about everything about interracial dating and what you will expect to deal with if you are in one. I won't answer questions about the psychological elements because I don't have a background in psychology to answer that.
Experience I have been in two long term relationships with individuals who were biracial and I have experience in friends who have dated and are married to people who are of a different race.

Question I feel guilty..I am a young black female of 23 years of age and I was wondering, how should I feel for not being interested in dating my same race. Black men hit me up (e-mail, street, bus, etc.) but I am not interested. Why? or how should I feel?
Answer Adrianna,
I am currently in your position right now and it's funny as I don't know what. I don't find black men attractive despite having to tell them that and being real with them as an African-American woman. Most of the time I get a lot of nasty comments from black men saying I am just the white or spanish man's whore or something else race related. If you're not attracted to black men that's fine and if they make comments to you don't be offended just look at it as their problem and not yours. Most black men want the goodies and still have their cake and eat it too. Most black women want to be able to love who they want since for a long time it was ok for black men to want someone non-black, but not ok for black women.
Don't be ashamed to not have an attraction to men of the same race. You got white, spanish, and asian men who are not fond of women of their own race either. What you want is a man who is going to respect you for the Queen that you are. If you're having trouble meeting guys of another race get on a dating website like EHarmony or Match.com. I don't want people to take it the wrong way when I say why I do not have any desire or attraction for black men. I learned over time of what my preference in men were and it wasnt black I was always attracted to white and spanish men. Don't change yourself to please the norm if you're not into black men that's perfectly ok and you have a right to have a preference and I get heat for my preference, but I am not giving up my preference for white or spanish men.
You shouldnt have to deal with unecessary comments from black men for your choice and always be honest because if one hears the truth they're not going to assume you're racist since preference and racism are two totally different areas which are constantly misconstrewn. Don't stop yourself from pursuing your preference and stand strong my sista don't stand down if someone insults your preference.
