I would not say that I am an expert but I must say I do know how you feel and sympathise with you 100%. The man I was seeing fell in love with me and said on the second date he knew that he needed to marry an indian woman to make his family happy. I ignored this hence thinking he would not get in a realtionship with someone knowing he had no future with that person what-so-ever because the plans that his family has for his life are more important than the ones that he would have for himself. This only happened to me recently the relationship is just a memory though because he ended it scared that he would be disowned from his family.
I have given up on trying to get answers as I dont even know if he is sure why he is doing what he is doing. Especially when he doesn't even talk to his family and is 30 years old, lives on the other side of world from his family. Makes no sense but hey such is love and as the saying goes "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all"
